Cycle Mapping

Your cycle is your COMPASS

Do these sound familiar?

Have your cycles been erratic ever since getting off hormonal birth control?

✦ Does your period “go missing” and you’re never really sure when it’ll come back?

✦ Struggling to find what could be causing the cystic acne?

✦ Tried anything and everything from detox teas to a daily handful of supplements and nothing seems to help?

✦ You feel like you want to balance your hormones naturally but don't know how or where to start?

If one or more of the statements above sounds familiar, I want you to know that I understand where you’re coming from. I struggled with all of these myself.

In fact, many of us struggle with menstrual cycle issues because we weren’t given the knowledge of how to best care for our body. Our society is structured around a 24 hour cycle, while we have a monthly cycle.

Which means that we are left to figure out what can disrupt our cycles on our own. But that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone.

My philosophy is that our cycle is our compass, not our shackle. That we can heal our cycles naturally through how we live our daily lives. What we eat on a regular basis, how often and how we move our body, and what we get exposed to all have a huge impact on our cycle health.

Learning how to map out our cycle is the first step in better understanding our bodies

So what even is Cycle Mapping?

Cycle Mapping is the act of tracking your cycle on a daily basis. We do this through keeping track of 2 biomarkers. Those being our basal body temperature and cervical fluid.

These 2 biomarkers are directly impacted by our hormones, estrogen and progesterone. Each hormone is dominant in either our follicular or luteal phase. This gives us insight into our own unique hormonal balance during each unique cycle.

That’s why Cycle Mapping should be the first step in how we address hormonal imbalances.

What would it be like if:

✦ You had the energy to have a consistent workout routine. Being able to work on mobility and endurance. Which is so important for our bone and joint health!

✦ You knew how to track and understand your cycle:

  • Knowing for certain when your next bleed will be

    • If it will be late and why (hint: many things can delay ovulation, leading to late periods)

    • Learning just how important ovulation is to our overall health

  • You could see firsthand when you’re starting to get an imbalance, so you can course correct sooner rather than later

✦ You’re able to rest during your periods. Not because of any pain, but because you’re supporting what your body needs

✦ You knew more about your body as a whole and how to best support it. Learning about anatomy, breast health, hormone disruptors, menstrual products, and so much more!

Imagine what it could be like to not be in the dark about your own body
